Just a note, that usage of the word "protege" isn't wrong, but more often refers to an ideological or social successor, and "progeny" literally means a creature's offspring- which you may find more suitable. no judgement, dude, I love seeing animal nerds dig up cool stuff.

you should do the kookaburra: these creatures live in Australia and they make use a call that sounds like a laughing noise and use it to attract a mate or use it to call others to tell where it lives so others can find them
