Man your a legend. Had a bit of trouble getting the installer to pick up the hard-drive. But clicked finder then disk utility and erased the created vdi. and selected install and it worked

Doesn't work for me.

Every time I get to the part in 7:56, I can see the wall of text scrolling up and then... it just crashes and keeps reseting. It never gets to the part where it starts asking the language or anything else.

I managed to install on a Linux host, pretty much the same steps but with a few tweaks on the commands, the only issue I faced is that the mouse and keyboard became unresponsive when I enabled USB 3.0 but it worked fine if I switched to 2.0. Thank you very much for this tutorial.
