Testing my new solder station. Out the box it doesn't work. pretty disappointing for such an expensive product.

Both cartridges are new and won't work. Could be the lead?

Did you managed to find out what the issue was? Were they proper JBC cartridges?

I certainly didn't get that problem, mine worked fine out of the box with all the tips (now have about 12). Oritech from what I know is a legitimate supplier though do I'd definitely send it back. But yeah my JBC worked/is working great, have never seen this before.

PS: it's fine to have lead on the top, in fact they come pre-tinned.
