Just a heads up, slopes is legit ice.
Turns are more of smearing rather than edge turns.

I just figure out on my own that tightening those screws in the middle of the high back will decrease the heel play. So I came to search for videos to see if it made sense. Glad I’ve found this video. I’m new to step ons

I dont usually comment on videos but wanted to thank you for posting this as I've recently purchased step on bindings and the heel play + tapping was annoying me. Adjusting to F3 made it go away.

Thanks bud!

That set up is so sick, love that board.

You are counter rotated when riding. Your left hand should be over the tail of the board and squat more, bend ankle and knees. When turning to toe side right shoulder should be over toe edge. Turning to heel side right shoulder should be over toe edge. The run is too flat try a steeper blue green run and turn front knee in the direction you want to go along with moving your hips over working edge to get the board to carve. With more high back forward lean it maybe necessary to lengthen bindings base by moving it out to larger number 9, if you are having troubles getting into bindings other wise 8.5 for 8.5 boot.

Definitely adjust the toe plate. My shop set my bindings up for size 8 boots and I wear a 10. I adjusted them today and felt like the board rode much better tonight. (I wasn't having any issues, but it made it much easier to get into the bindings) Although it was only a couple runs - it's freezing at Snowshoe right now. Not much snow, mostly man-made and it wasn't great.

I have three sets of these bindings. None of them have the issues you describe. Are your boots sized to the bindings? Have you set the toe plate to the boot size?

The toe plate is in US size, remember that. So I am UK 9.5 and put the toe plate on 10.5. Just got my step ons on the forward lean helps a lot.

You’re more of an intermediate really based on your turns. You must be carving and knee steering by now. Great set up!

Did not fully watch your 10 min video.

But going from the title, heel play might comes from the following two potential root causes:
- Boot is too large
- not locked into the second click (first click only). The more forward lean, the harder to get into this second click!

It should match the size of your boots. They made the mark for a reason.

Also u know ur using an intermediate/advance board right. Burton sells beginner boards that helps get the basics, I had the ripcord n progressed nicely into the Kilroy 3d. Don't sell that board, keep it, learn with a beginner n progress that way. But it's all based what u wanna do.
