I got a ps2 slim over the summer and I’ve had a great time with its games, and since it’s backwards compatible I also get to play some of the original PlayStation games like Spyro

MK Armageddon was the first game that turned me into a freak for “BIG GIGANTIC OMEGA LOMG, WILL TAKE YOU HOURS JUST TO TRY OUT THE ENTIRE CAST” type of games.

2 of the best games for ps2 were baldurs gate and champions of norrath. Me and an old band mate would play those both for hours back in the early 2000s. I might get a ps2 just for thise 2 games.

I love the games on the PS2 as well. That's why I use PCSX 2 emulator. This means I don't need an extra TV, or have to mess with extra wires all over the place. And it also means I don't have to worry about disks not working as I can download my games. So no need for physical storage space either. Emulation is perfect.

I used to love coming home from school and throwing in one of the Raimi Spider-Man games or Jak & Daxter or Tony Hawk American Wasteland into the ol’ PS2 and playing until I fell asleep…I think I’m gonna get another one soon…Just for memory sake 😌😌😌

Ahh the PS2.. I spent so many hours playing on that thing... I remember when I first got the PS2, I didn't have an official memory card, i had a third party one that wouldn't work until you put in a boot disc that came with it, and it managed the memory. it was supposed to be able to compress the data to fit more game data on the card, but i never used that feature. It wouldn't be til much later when i finally got an official memory card and was free from having to use that stupid boot disc.

And I even had multiple cheat disks like action replay (the version i had had awesome menu music) and game shark.. Those were the days for sure.
