This is such solid information ❤ we just brought home a newborn and our dog is very confused. He crys when she is laying down like whimpers. But when we are holding our daughter he acts afraid. We are a bit confused but there's been no aggression

Great video! I am a dog trainer and this is exactly what I teach my clients. I have a client who has a new baby and I am too booked to get to them at this time. This is the perfect video to forward to her. Thank you for posting.

Did not like the video at first but once I finished it it makes A LOT of sense! Its not about pushing them away but making sure they understand the boundaries that need to be set regardless.
Love it!

Thank you SO much for this video! We have 2 very rambunctious Boxers and these tips are helping to ease my anxieties. I don't want to set up my fur babies for faliure by letting them too close too soon. These boundaries and tips were very helpful! Thanks again! :)

This will be tough to do with my husky. She’s really smart and spoiled, this will hurt her feelings bad. I have to find a way to help her keep distance, without getting upset or jealous of the baby. Lots of treats!

So helpful, thank you! I am bringing an Australian cattle dog rescue home soon and while I do not have children now, I want to do as much prep work and trust building before that chapter of my life does occur! Thank you for the tips.

I love your rules, I feel I am already moderately strict with my boy. I am more concerned about accidents, but I guess ciders can happen if they are not allowed close to the baby for the first few months. Place command is going to come in real handy 😂

Should we still do a very brief introduction when we bring the baby home? Or straight to separation for 4-6 weeks?
