"Money pouring in" is NOT great. It's coming from outside sources and those candidates will have to pay it back with personal favors. It's infuriating.

As a registered Democrat and member of the LGB🏳️‍🌈
for over 50 years Id prefer Betsy Johnson -or- Christine Drazan, NEVER KOTEK

Oregon ranks around 45th or worse in education for over the last 10 years, on par with Mississippi, Louisiana and West Virginia. Teacher unions continue to support democrats who’ve run this state for almost my entire adulthood. That’s enough for me to not vote for the democrat. It’s for the children.

Considering that Oregon has been under Democrat control for the better part of forty years, and has been slipping in livability almost from that time, I would think that might be a reason for a change. Crime, on the rise, homelessness, on the rise, cost of living going up. Graduation rates were falling, until the standards were lowered, so moving the goalposts isn't really an improvement, and the list goes on.

Time we let another drive the car for a while. Someone's asleep at the wheel.

If you look at the past Betsy is still a Dem, she had to go independent just to get on the ballot . Oregon does not need more like the last 40 years.

None of these are worth voting for ... None of these are a good fit for Oregon or nowhere??

Moderate politians is what Oregonians need to fix the liberal mess of the last 8 years of Brown (2nd worst Goverwhiner all of America) and Tina Kotek 8 years as Speaker.

As an Independent, I’m glad to have an option that isn’t connected to one of the two corrupt parties.

If TentCityTina wins, I will never have any faith in the Oregon vote-by-mail system.

It sucks that a woman’s rights is dictated by whether or not there’s a R in front of the name of a state governor.

If it really is going to be competitive this time, this is why we need a better system than single-vote plurality. Why not approval voting? (Sure, ranked choice is better yet, but approval voting doesn't require designing completely new ballots)

One would think the independent candidate especially should be in favor of a voting system that doesn't artificially marginalize independent candidates in favor of entrenched parties.

I am a nonpartisan voter and do not identify with the term unaffiliated. I choose not to be a party member so nonpartisan is the correct term.
