On the Edge: Spring Yellowbelly Action at Burrinjuck!

If you have never experienced the tick on the line when a hungry yellowbelly hits your lure on the drop or sucks it in off the bottom, now is the time to hit the edges. The edges of our beautiful freshwater impoundments are starting to warm up, and so are the feisty golden perch, which are beginning to fire up after winter. The food chain warms up first along the edges, and the yellas know it. It's often only a short window of opportunity for us anglers to cash in on what is a super fun (while not always the easiest) way to catch them. I ventured out to Burrinjuck recently, and while it took me a while to find the edge bite, find it I did! Thanks for watching; I hope you enjoy this episode.

Nice work Dan. Informative, engaging and well put together. What you see is what you get, no fluff and no boring bits. Thumbs up as always.

Another well presented clip mate, this stuff is gold for myself as a coastie just starting out on impoundment fishing, had two trips so far first burrinjuck last year and windamere a couple of weeks ago, failed to turn a reel on both occasions but I won’t be giving up at any rate, keep em coming mate definitely appreciate the local knowledge 🤙
