A couple of years ago I bought a tool box with tools and some rough looking stones at a garage sale. I put the tool box away for another day.
Fast forward a couple of years. I came across my tool box and decided to see what was in there. There were several baggies full of different size opal rocks!!! Opal is my birthstone so I was super excited for my find!
I joined the rock and mineral club and learned how to make an opal pendant with a wire wrap.
Now, I keep thinking that I need all those tools and machinery to work on the rest of my rough opals.😀
Love your Channel!

So far you're the only one to explain it effectively just like it is. Lapidary 40 years here. Nice job and thanks for sharing the craft with others.

Look at that opal Colonel…it’s a potch encased enchilada morsel waiting for your brilliant 3D enabled mind at the grinding wheel. Your mission is always to bring clarity to these pieces when no one else can in the format you bring us. Keep up the rants!

I don't know why they would say it is the "whole enchilada" when it is clearly the enchilada with the rice and beans...It's the enchilada plate!!! Great job. I like the rant section. You are very entertaining.

Lovely opal! And personally, I do like some of those horizontal designs better than the vertical ones. There's just something different and unique about them and they are just as lovely.
