PlateUp! I Steaks - 100% Automated - NO BURNING! I Halloween Update I Tutorial

Halloween 🦇 is approaching fast, and we are very excited to get back into the restaurant with our spooOOoky update that will come out on the 25th of October 10AM PDT (6PM GMT).

Costumes
What is important for Halloween? Hats!👒
More specifically, a selection of costume hats will be free forever! Head to one of the bedrooms and interact with the costume chest to pick them!

Dishes
You can also expect a bunch more Halloween-themed dishes, which you can get in all locations, from pumpkin pie to... Spiny Fish? 🐟

Automation upgrades
On top of the above, we've also ordered two new items into the restaurant to help with automation; all of you chefs are doing bigger and more complex things than ever expected, so firstly, we're bringing in the teleporters which is an upgraded version of the dumbwaiter, which doesn't require you to interact with it and it teleports instantly!

Secondly are the corner grabbers, which allow you to change the direction of a grabber's output during the day, allowing you to be much more space efficient.

Quality of life
We also have WAY too many bug and quality-of-life changes to list here fully. Still, a couple of major ones to note are that you can start a practice day anywhere through the pause menu, which means that you single players don't need to leave your complicated setup, the second one is that when picking a theme card you can see the perks when choosing.

Twitch Integration
Finally, we know that some of you like messing with streamers, watching or streaming PlateUp! on Twitch, so with that in mind, we've expanded the Twitch integration and added a Trick or Treat mode to further you all to enjoy watching and playing the game on Twitch.

And more!
We've also decorated a new location where you can visit to get your Halloween fun; in this restaurant, you expect a whole host of new decorations; jump on in to find out what 👀

Some of you mentioned you like some of our music tracks🎶, so we added some new Halloween tracks for you to enjoy!

You can also expect 4 more cards to be found, which have various effects. These are:
Herd Mentality - All customers come during rush times.
Picky Eaters - Customers can leave food on their plates which must be thrown out.
Tipping Culture - Customers pay based on their remaining patience.
Health and Safety - Customers are slowed by messes.

I actually prefer longer videos / minimal editing so don't feel pressured to make a fast and short video especially with tutorials. Getting this set up is the hardest part but once it is set up it is easy peasy mode. If your map is big enough and you have all 4 variations of steak you could totally multiply this by 4 and would be cool and interesting to see it. My guess is those teleporters would be a necessity ;) <3

One suggestion would be to move the corner grabbers splitting the raw steaks up to the sides of the meat refrigerator and adding two grabbers below them. It basically simulates having three meat bins, but only costs two grabbers or conveyors and no wasted space

Fantastic! Steaks is actually my favorite menu in the game, and I can't wait to try this.

While waiting to aquire the 4 extra grabbers and the bins you can use the corner grabbers as switches to turn each "line" on and off. Or just drop a plate on the hobs but that's not as cool!

Well, if you didn't mind manually throwing away the well done steaks you could do it with 1 hob. I'm just not sure the timing would work in a live situation since the delay of it refilling the rare and med would mean that more than 5 Well done orders across 3 tables would be really dangerous (separate hob to cook as a back up just in case? Would probably work but still be risky, so this would have to be an interim build while you were getting the parts for the full.)

Could you not remove the two smart grabbers from the sides and just use regular grabbers/corner grabbers into your bins?

I did one run using a setup kinda same to this but with thin cut and thick cut steak and it was kinda hilarious

How do you manage to get so many conveyors before even starting???

Why dispose perfectly good well dones and not keep them in another frozen prep station for the start of the next day? They cook so long, wont this help?
