This video features a high quality short film of the Soviet Victory Parade, held on June 24, 1945 in Moscow, USSR. First the speech of Marshal Georgy Zhukov is heard and later the Soviet Anthem.

On a rainy morning on June 24, 1945, The Soviet Union greets its sons who have returned home victorious. More than 30,000 soldiers marched across Red Square during the 2 hour parade.

During the time period 1941-1945, The Soviet Union lost more than 20 million people in The Second World War against Germany, mainly civilians. Relative to the timeframe, this is the highest official number of lives lost during war in all of history. The parade became an unforgettable triumph of the victorious people, all the Armed Forces and their brave spirits.

1:38 the guy looking at the camera looks like he’s been through hell, and most likely he did go through it if he survived the war…

Coming back to watch the OG victory parade in honour of the 80th anniversary Victory Day. We shall never forget the sacrifices the Soviet people made during WW2. They defeated Fascism in Europe, and they (the West) will never forgive them for that.

Imagine the pride one must feel after defeating such an impossible foe, the courage it took to defeat said enemy and then stand here proud that you've overcome that monster... Long Live the great Red Army who defeated fascism and flew the Hammer & Sickle flag in their capitol...

2:03 That stern face of the soldier in the turret seat.. Glory to that soldier/defender of the English language because if the soviets didn’t defeat the nazis I think I’d be speaking German not English. RIP to my East German great great grandfather and eternal glory to those who lived and died under the red banner. Urah ❤️
