Thanks for the cool review, it's a shame it struggled to get up the stairs. Then again, I can't imagine how difficult stairs are for robots. It looks like the legs can only go up high enough to get over certain steps. It's unfortunate that the robot dog fell down when trying to go down the stairs. That aside, as cool as this robot is, I wonder what are the good day to day uses will be? Carrying heavy groceries? Carrying water bottles while out on the run/jog as it follows you? Have the robot bring you a TV remote while you are in the living room and comfy on the sofa?

They should add the ability for the Go2 to recharge itself and home security functionality. I would then consider buying one. The question I would ask is what functionality does a home consumer want? I think the price point is good.

Can the voice be changed? Hearing a kids voice from a robot dog is on the creepy side. I just want dog sounds. Barks, growls, wimpers, etc..

Needs a lot of work to be useful, should be able to carry heavy things like sofas or ever smaller items around the house. Work on the lawn with an ability to attach a garden hose and pre program an area just like lawn robots. Child safety to detect if a child is about to fall into a pool or go up stairs or down stairs. Gate security to greet/warn/announce visitors with 2 way communication or a call local LE. Im sure in another 30 years this will be normal.

It should be programmed to recognize when it can or cannot climb. If it cannot climb then it should say that can’t climb.
