M5Stack Core2 development Kit is small and compact microcontroller based on ESP32 a fantastic tool for DIY creations. Some of the features: ESP32-based, built-in Bluetooth,WiFi, 16M Flash,8M PSRAM, Built-in speaker, power indicator, vibration motor, RTC, I2S amplifier, capacitive touch screen,
TF card slot (16GB Max), Built-in lithium battery, Independent small board built-in 6-axis IMU, microphone, M-Bus Socket & Pins.
Program Platform: UIFlow, MicroPython and most important for me: the Arduino IDE.
M5Core2 also features a built-in RTC module which can provide accurate timing.

I've got stacks of ESP32's and probably all the other parts. I don't need an M5Stack Core2 MCU. But man.. I do want one... Glad you took it apart - thanks!ll

Liked the video! And when I like a video I leave a comment to help with the YouTube algorithm. If I can suggest something to better the video is a lapel mike for the sound. Again I am not in 3d printing but I like all tech stuff and the knowledge. 👍🏻✌🏻🇨🇦

I don't see that the battery replacement would be an issue. There is no third wire for reporting any kind of status to the main board, and the board on the battery should be just a standard protection device, DW01. It's only there to implement a safety cutoff in case of fault outside the battery and prevent battery fire. It will also prevent battery deep-discharge condition. You should be able to use just about any battery on there, just check the charge termination voltage. You look at the size spec on there, 502728, and you can order an identical one, the basic standard ones that you get do come with protection. Or if you're retrofitting to a bigger enclosure, you can use whatever you can find, replaceable simple phone batteries (Nokia, Samsung - they have builtin protection), 18650s (available with a protection board installed) etc. According to the board topology printed on the sticker, which is just such a nice detail, you find an AXP192 PMIC on there which should manage the battery safely to begin with, but this is a DIY device so an extra layer of fat-finger protection is a good idea but there are no particular functional requirements on it.

Do mind that when you order from a professional battery merchant who knows what they're doing, which is a good idea, the battery will travel on land freight only, so if it's from China, it can take several months.

For this version, u need to get bottom2 battery to get another Grove pin.

I am thinking if I should get aws core2 that comes with bottom 2 battery. Overall, it's cheaper

So amazing review. Can I make a wifi router with 2 4g sim modules stacked on it, for fast internet by two network bonding? I am trying to make it stand alone by avoiding the bonding VPN service.

Why the heck is the M5 Stack folder 2, 74GB? In comparison, the library for the Microbit and other nRF boards is 480MB, and MightyCore is only 47MB. They really need to cut down bloatware, compilation time for the ESP32 in this board is unacceptable due to the mega fat library.
