It’s called the 'miracle of life', and we can see why. No matter how you look at it, making a human out of procreation is miraculous indeed. But what is this process? Exactly how are humans made? It starts with sperms traveling to meet the egg, but where does it end?

In this video, we follow the path of making a human form when the moment the sperm fertilizes the egg all the way to when the baby is born.

We showcase key developments such as when the ball of cells starts transforming into an embryo at four weeks, when the foundation of a face starts to take shape at eight weeks, when vital organs like the brain, intestines, and liver are developing at 12 weeks, and so much more.

We also explore new and advanced methods of making babies, such as artificial wombs and technologies like CRISPR gene editing that could replace human mothers and natural birth.

We look at how, in the future, test tubes, bags, and incubators could replace the womb. We show how these advances, rather than being dystopian, could improve health and well-being by allowing extremely premature newborns to spend more time in a nurturing environment before birth.

When the miracle of life meets science, plenty of new useful discoveries can be made.
