* alligator snapping turtles (Macrochelys), Spotted turtles (Clemmys Guttata) and box turtles (Terrepene) are a protected species, and possession in most states is prohibited by law. I hold a state DNR license to use these turtles for educational purposes. They are not “pets”, and they are not for sale*

You point out some really great identification traits between the different species. One thing they all have in common: they are all beautiful!

Loved the original video about this, and this one is even better! Back in 2020, I got a river cooter hatchling and he/she is getting hard to one-hand at this point! Love these turtles 🐢❤️

Unfortunately many of North Americas Freshwater species have been released into Euro Asia habitats so their adaptation is quite impressive but they don't reproduce in natural environment over here, although that's possible in Mediterranean region where winters quite mild and summers hot.

Somehow sliders & cooters have always been my favourite species although in Europe we have got very few turtles: Emys Orbicularis is one of them plus some of Mauremys Caspica subspecies. That's pretty much everything 🤔😏

Great video! Love your turtles!!
If I sent you some pics of my turtle, could you possibly spare some time to please help me to try properly identifying his species..?please!😅 I've had him for several years, but the people I got him from weren't sure what he was or his age or gender..! Lol. Doing my own research, I've come to the assumption that he's a yellow belly, but I'm not 100% sure. I'd really appreciate ANY help!! Thanks

Is there a way I could send you a picture of a baby turtle I have recently found myself in charge of 😂 I don’t know if it’s a slider or a river cooter 😭

Wait I was told that when you flip a turtle upside down you’re suffocating them… 🤔🤔🤔
