My Tribute to Ron Barassi

I’ve just learned from my dad that VFL/AFL legend Ron Barassi has passed away at the age of 87. He was a legend in the sport with many memorable roles including being a part of Melbourne’s dominance between 1955-64, captain-coach of Carlton’s first premiership in 21 years in 1968, coaching the Blues to their memorable come from behind premiership in 1970, coaching North Melbourne to their first premiership in 1975 and re-establishing the Swans as Sydney’s team.
