Jean Schwartz - China Town I WDR BIG BAND

In Gedenken an Kurt Edelhagen, einer der bedeutsamsten Orchesterleiter im Bereich Tanzmusik, Schlager und Jazz in Deutschland in den 1950er und 1960er Jahren. ​Der Titel "China Town" von dem U.S.- amerikanischen Komponisten Jean Schwartz in einem Arrangement von Francy Boland gehörte zu dem klassischen Repertoire des Kurt Edelhagen Orchesters, das auch als Vorläufer der heutigen WDR BIG BAND bezeichnet werden kann. Besonderes gefeatured werden die Posaunen-, Trompeten- und Saxofon-Sektion im Wechsel mit Hans Dekker am Schlagzeug. Aufgenommen im WDR Studio Bocklemünd / Köln (Oktober 2020).
