Heybeliada, Princes Islands, Istanbul // Overlanding Turkey

While we awaited our interview for our Ikamet (one year temporary residency in Turkey) we took another much needed day trip out to Heybeliada, the second largest of the Prince' Islands in the Sea of Marmara, near Istanbull, Turkey. Much like it's bigger sister Buyukada, you get around either on foot, by electric vehicle or pushbike and with its Ottoman era mansions and houses, plenty of walking routes and the old, now abandoned Sanitaryum, it was truly a wonderful day out, full of surprises.

We are Kerry & Craig; Husband and Wife team from the UK with big plans for a tiny house on wheels and so, meet Penelope, our ex-army Leyland DAF T244 which we are converting into an expedition vehicle to travel the world - van life supersized!
