RUSSELL WILSON JUST SAVED THE STEELERS.. 🤯🔥

The Pittsburgh Steelers have finally addressed their quarterback situation by signing Russell Wilson to a one-year minimum contract, with the Denver Broncos covering the rest. This move comes as the Steelers aim to provide a fair chance for Kenny Pickett to develop into a quality NFL quarterback. With Wilson onboard, the Steelers now have options to either let Pickett prove himself or rely on a capable veteran to lead the offense.

Meanwhile Justin Fields keeps both on the bench. Thrilled to see him succeed post Chicago.

Yall have to keep in mind that the Steelers are a more complete team than the broncos were.. Literally the only problem was at the QB position

not a trade, Denver cut him and he became a free agent, take it as it is but don't make up horseshit.

Bro this is ridiculous! Just two weeks ago everyone is talking about how Russ doesn’t got it anymore and now everyone acts like he’s a savior, please make up your mind!

Dude... Signing Wilson, even if for a 1 year deal, is the death knell for Pickett. There's no trust anymore after this, if there ever was any. You have a veteran breathing down his neck, he's already shown signs of distrust in his attitude towards how he was handled at the end of last season. This feels a little like how Mark Sanchez was broken in NY, tbh. This is less having RW around "just in case" and more like giving RW a few extra weeks to get up to speed with Pits before high kneeing his way onto the field when Kenny's confidence is utterly broken after stress failing in week 2-3.

As a Seahawks fan, ignore the talk. Russ is still a good QB. He has never been the problem on the field. His contracts have been a problem. His brand is a problem. And for goodness sake, keep him out of the kitchen. Don't expect him to throw on time over the middle. The Steelers are a great fit for him. A good running game and strong defense. He's one of the best deep ball throwers in the game and protects the ball. Gratz Steeler Nation.

They're not giving up on Pickett. This will give him a chance to sit behind a nine-time pro bowler Super Bowl winning quarterback and learn. They're signing Russell because he's only going to cost 1.2 million they pay Mason 5 million. Kenny just need some time to develop we still have faith that he is the future QB.

As a Broncos fan, gonna tell you Pittsburgh it’s a lot harder than you think to find that QB when ppl say you’re “just a QB away” when in reality you’re far from it

It used to be that newly drafted quaterbacks sat in an apprentice role to the starter, and the back up. The starter, and the back up schooled him in NFL play. The idea of just throwing someone in fire on their rookie year is a new concept. Need to bring back that apprentice role, and rookies will just have to be patient and bide their time.
