TUBE PAINTS
I always have a tube of White Designers Gouache on hand for lights and corrections

These colours are very useful and don't usually appear in the sets the manufacturers make:
Naples Yellow
Quinacridone Gold
Permanent Rose
Indigo
Sepia

PAPER
Winsor and Newton Watercolour paper pad 140lb 9 x 12 inches ideal for all watercolour techniques.

Canson MONTVAL watercolour paper block 140lb 9 x 12 inches ideal for all watercolour techniques. Exceptional resiliance and easy to work with.

BRUSHES
Princeton do a good range of synthetic squirrel brushes. This is a size 10 round.
And Winsor and Newton Cotman brushes are also good. This is a size 10 round.

I often use a rigger brush (called script liner in the US) and this is a link to the Cotman range of riggers, this is size 1.
A size 3 would also be useful.

I have been a watercolor artist for many years at81 with a number of health issues that have impaired my memory I found it so frustrating I gave it up. But I have been watching your videos and finally subscribed because your videos are so inspiring and I feel that I can do some things again. I can't thank you enough for what you're doing. I am making a couple of journals I would like koi fish in them so I decided to try to paint some small pictures of them using your video. I love this and really enjoyed painting this. We have a koi pond that we put in 26 years ago, and just lost one of our fish that has been there from the beginning. He was yellow and white, but we have a couple that are this coloring. Thank you!
