Thorfinn wins but i like eren more because he made the hardest choices in the hardest circumstances whereas thorfinn had it comparitively wayy easier to eren and chooses peace whereas eren has to choose violence and its just satisfying seeing how he crushes marley at one point

I love that the only person who can surpass Thorfinn is a villain, it's so poetic, no anime hero could surpass Thorfinn's writing, the only way he could be surpassed is if there was anime's greatest villain

I prefer Thorfinn over Eren because of his overall character However I like Eren Ideology way better than Thorfinn. Eren did the most human thing by destroying 80% of his enemy. For some kids, human = being kind. I suggest you to watch Parasyte to fully understand what a human being is. A being strive for his survival by doing either good or wrong deeds is what we call human. Human being is neither good nor evil

Thorfinn has so many similarities with Sasha's father Artur Braus.
Sasha was a hunter in the forest at the beginning but his father thought letting her daughter being in the forest, in the danger, will end up really bad. So, he decided to make her soldier. But after her death, he regreted his choice. Because he thought he took her out of forest but he only put her back again in it, in the war.
Artur Braus was thinking only solution would be living outside of the forest. But Eren was thinking only way is the burning that forest, so he did.
Thorfinn is like Artur braus. He wants to build up Vinland, get out of the forest live there with the people who wants to leave the forest.
That's why I understand know why people are arguing too much about who is better, Eren or Thorfinn. Because there are too many parallels between them.
