Easily Kill The Royal Champion As Level 1 Rogue - Dark And Darker

Dark And Darker quick guide of how to kill the royal champion as a level 1 with 0 gear.

Step 1: If your fighting him in this room, clear 1 corner of the room (1 bat 1 skeleton archer)

Step 2: Try to take only the royal champions agro and not the wraith, if you manage to grab both, you can lock 1 in a side room, although this method works on both bosses, but would be hard to do at the same time.

Step 3: keep the boss against a wall / none destructible object, move up to hit it, then move back and he will hit the wall and not move forward. Rinse repeat.

I'm just gonna list a few of the ways I've found to cheese the mobs in this room. If you have any ranged weapons like a bow or crossy you can just close the door on them and stay a few feet back to not let them swing at you and shoot them through the peek in the door. You can jump on top of the barrels in one of the corners and if you have a reaching weapons like rapier he cant hit you. Be mindful to keep max range or he will swing and destroy one of the barrel's and it wont work anymore, if that isn't your cup of tea there's a few chest that once opened you can get on the torch above it and do the same thing. There's also an entrance to that room that has a half wooden wall with table or bench next to it that you can use to jump on the wall to then stabby stabby the wraith or skelly champ, just take out the archers nearby first so they wont be a bother. Or just kite its really not hard as long as your not full plate armor

It's not really about it hitting the wall, because it actually does literally nothing. It just phases through it, it's more about the enemy no longer move forward while doing his slash giving you more space to kite

Hm, is it really that much of a time save? What I always did in the goblin caves was kite him around the spike traps with the others mobs and let it do half the work for me. If getting him to swing on walls saves time that might be pretty awesome. I'd love to try this myself but... you know....
