About the Yaw VR Motion simulator. I spoke to the man you met at CES. On his YouTube channel I asked him about the Yaw VR Motion Simulator being compatible with Vox Machinae VR and he told me that he is communicating with the developers that Created Vox Machinae VR to get the Yaw VR Motion Simulator native to the game. That's awesome 👍

Thanks Sebastian, hello from NorCal USA, love your show. Subbed after seeing your vids for the 1st time during your CES coverage. I like your focus on VR, didn't get that with my previous tech channel subbs.

FYI, Parmesan only had upgrade to Valve Index controllers when I checked today 1/13.

I bought my Rift over 3yrs ago ($750 w/3rd sensor & controllers) when the only high-end options were Rift or Vive. Current PC has i7-6850k & GTX1080 FTW but will be building new HEDT this summer with RTX and VR gaming as primary use. Will have enough when prices go back up this summer for "medicinal flower sales" (wink, wink... Legal for me but still taboo in many places). Will be closely watching your reviews to see what system I'll be landing on. (I've seen several reviews showing the Nolo as very laggy. Not sure why it worked out so well for you.)

The question for me with the 8k X is can today's graphics cards really deliver? After trying almost all headsets out there I decided to go with Oculus S for roomscale - seems best bang for the buck with stability and ease of use and an HP Reverb for sim flying and racing and getting deals on both I am still well below the 8k-x price point. I still want to 100% best VR I can get for my sim rig but it has to be stable due to it being in our den and others having to use it, it needs to "just work" and pimax stuff has not been there quite yet... my main concern however is if something like a 2080 or 2080 super can really feed that beast, I don't have a Ti and no plans to get one.

PiMax is the best company I've ever seen at making their own tech obsolete...before your order even arrives.

Can't decide between the Artisan or 8k X. Need to see a comparison (through the lense) between the two (and maybe the 8k plus, too) before deciding.

Hi Seb, great reporting from CES and this follow up show, well done. For seated simulation only, would you choose Reverb or Parmesan? Looks like prices are similar for here in the UK, Reverb Pro v Artisan with Nolo solution. Looking for an upgrade from the Rift CV1. Many thanks!

I'm glad to hear that you refused the sponsorship from pimax 😉 I noticed that the pimax booth had a few YouTubers that were bought for that show.

Im sure you support ad's but you should install Ublock... It will block tho's annoying ad bars from popping up.
Also, why does that picture at the Pimax booth look like Linus.

I have not yet bought a VR headset. Sebastian, with all the new tech coming soon should I buy now or wait? I know technology is always becoming obsolete but there are SO MANY new things coming with VR I'm hesitant to buy right now. Seems like it might be better to wait another 6 months or so to get the newest cutting edge stuff for same price as the current stuff. Thoughts?

Also, how do you get your room to sound so quiet in the recordings? There's no moving air sounds, or room boominess, or anything like that. Are you using a noise gate or something?

you didn't talk about accessories release dates thats been my biggest gripe with pimax
i want the comfort kit and MAS because my 5k+ is so uncomfortable for my skinny face and the Vive DAS is discontinued. Wireless is my next issue.

I'm a share hold of IGT (International Game technology). They manufacture slot machines and distribute them to casinos world wide. I'm trying to convince them to bring VR to the Casinos like imagine being on a Virtual Game Show? That would be so awesome.

You did all you can, but I think you admit it is not happening that much in VR world unfortunately, what is frustrating. Only games and software are released and about new VR headsets not much news. Pimax doing weird and confusing things, WMR is practically dead, Rift S like 1.1 step forward. Quest is limited experience and people concentrate on low quality cable connected experiences (... in reality they could have bought Odyssey+ for best experience and super price). Must be frusrating to you to fly there and discover just a few new things which will not be mass produced anyway (beside Artisan).
I wait for the day when we are surprised with new headsets every 1 year, new revision improvements. Currently VR is like cars. One model every few years, without much breakthroughs. I showed VR to like 60 people already. I try to make it more popular.

PlayStation and PS5 VR needs to target form factor (and okay controller tracking), over cutting-edge optical technology. If they could launch something that looks like Huawei VR Glass, even if tethered, or tethered to a worn wireless receiver - it will have the best chance of commercial success. Just the device's looks will have great marketability in itself.

I would definitely buy the pro version of the Yaw VR motion simulator. It's almost the same price as my graphics card so I could afford it.

So you mention the Artisan is visually better than the 5k plus does this include reading gauges and text? As a DCS Sim guy I love the readability with the 5k plus is this better in the Artisan?
