Even if Cipher didn't partake in the Belkan War it seems very unlikely that Belka could have won the conflict. In this video I discuss the several reasons why Belka's objectives were basically impossible.

"Why Belka couldn't win~~"
As soon as Project Ulysses hits HOI4's Workshop, we'll well show that Belkan world supremacy is possible

If Belka had played on Easy they'd have access to infinite GUN ammo and probably could've won the war

All I really want is just to see your reaction and excitement and passion around a game where you get to fly for the Belkan air force. Even if it was only as a transport aircraft pilot shipping potatoes, you would be excited. I love that. 👌

I guess this is a wake up call to our new struggle to retake the southern lands. Thank you for this in depth and informative video ACF. We will use the information you give us to make radical reforms in our military doctrines strategy and tactics. Ultimately once they're done we will retake the southern lands and Belka will once again reign supreme.

Note : I think why South Belkans hated us because of the hierarchy of the old Belkan society and the lack of proper infrastructure in the southern lands. When the economic crisis hit the ones that suffered the most are the South Belkans.

A: Osea

One often overlooked factor is that Belka failed to maintain an independent aerospace industry.

Don't throw stones at me yet, Gründer Industries paid shills, at least let me finish my argument first.

By the time the war started, the majority of Belkan Air Force fighters consist of aircrafts designed in Osea (think the F-4s, F-15s etc) or Yuktobania (think the Su-27s, MiG-29s etc). This initially had the benefit of having half of your fleet intact if a superpower conducts an arms embargo, and this was effective during the Cold War. However, as soon as Yuktobania decided to ally itself with Osea, it all went down the drain.

Bm-335 was crucially the last bomber aircraft Belka ever produced. Since then they failed to come up with a new design and are forced to keep buying Yuke bombers. That design know-how was lost since.

Instead, Belka went for unproven next-gen tech such as the aerial warship, onboard lasers, and artificial intelligence. Belkan AI was simply not ready until at least 1998, by which point they were first combat tested. Aerial warships, after a long development, eventually require an entire air wing to protect and by 1995 it was not evident. Lasers, on the other hand, could have been used by the Belkan Navy as the one advantage Osea could not match even in 2019. Belka however did not put that much thought in its navy and as a result Belkan ships were never equipped with lasers. In fact, it is a shame that even today, most of the world's militaries who fit lasers on their fighters don't mount them on their ships.

Everything could be summed up with: Belka had Hermann Goering level of ineptitude as air force leadership

Let's not forget the elephant in the room hiding behind the window curtain. The existence of the 6th Tactical Fighter Squadron. The Schwarze Squadron. The whole reason the Belkan Air Force employed ruthless mercenaries like Dominic Zubov is because the morale of the pilots was so low, that they resorted to desertion. And having escapee killers like the aforementioned Vulture is to keep them in line. Sending the Vulture and the Schwarze Squadron to intercept deserters is served as an example to discourage potential deserters. This situation is similar to Operation Iraqi freedom. The Iraqi army was large enough to put up a descent resistance against the American invasion, but it suffered from low morale attributed to maltreatment, nepotism and lack of cooperation between branches. So the Baath party's radical wing, the Fedayeen Saddam, loyal only to Saddam Hussein, are employed to round up any deserters and units turning their weapons against their allies, and execute them.

Here's my take on why Belka lost:
"Cipher, You're Galm 1 now." End of discussion.

Seriously though, I think this was very well done, And I would love to see similar videos explaining why Erusea, Leasath and other antagonist countries lost.
