UK Pelican Crossing Traffic Light Sequence 🚶🏻‍♂️🚦#shorts

The DfT, in its infinite wisdom, has decided the Pelican crossing, a staple on Britain's roads for half a century, is too dangerous, complicated and confusing to both pedestrians and motorists. I don't think so and the reasoning behind the use of nearside indicators of the currently favoured Puffin and Toucan types doesn't wash with me.

In the meantime, for those who may need it, perhaps you are doing the theory test of something, here is the Pelican Crossing traffic light sequence and what each phase means for both pedestrians and motorists. Good luck, if you are doing the theory test, oh, and don't let the Hazard Perception wind you up too much. The scoring is utterly nonsensical.

They should have made it a flashing red man as people still enter the crossing because of the flashing green man.
