I ordered just one half panel directly from China called Shenzhen Idea Light Limited. Speak with Winnie Wu, she speaks fluent English and she was super real with the specs which I appreciated. I did pay duties like CAD $80 and it arrived at my door within 11 days. I then ordered a handheld red light therapy device from the same company and it arrived in 7 days, from China to Canada. I loved their service, PayPal was easy. I think it was easier than Aliexpress actually. lol. I love both products but I find myself using the handheld therapy device more. I would definitely repurchase for family and friends.

I bought 4 of the Idealtherapy 5-wavelength panels with the stand; each panel came with a remote, power cord, attachments if you just wanted to hang it and then I got the cascading cables too, however, each panel is so powerful (I got the 5W 300 LED panels and each one draws 6.7 amps of current) that I have to plug two panels into one circuit and two into another. There's no way you could cascade the 4 panels as the cords aren't rated for that kind of current; they'd melt lol.
I paid $2396 US shipped and delivered duty paid. My experience was amazing; my expectation was that it would take a while but I wasn't in a hurry so that's just fine. The panels each came well packaged and the stand came well packaged as well. I was missing bolts to connect up all the panels onto the stand and they took care of the issue. It did take about a week but they express shipped the bolts out to me since it was there mixup. 4 biomax panels with the stand would have been like 6 grand so this was way less than half. I'm super happy and my wife and I both love RLT!

I have had great success with my panel from liya company. They have an even bigger one I am tempted by. Had mine almost a year and no issues!

I bought a touch screen Full Body RL450MAX light w
Controller Including Wall Braxket and stand with a 2 year warranty for $729 received in less than 2 weeks! Company idealight Shenzen was very responsive. I would say only negative is the manual provided isn't descriptive in how long to treat what, etc for benefits.

Is ordering from Alibaba to the US unfeasible now, due to tariffs?

It seems like you'll only be saving like 20% now, and risking getting an inferior product?

(One concern I've had is that factories might put in inferior LEDs, which a normal consumer won't notice. Whereas the brands like Rojo and PlatinumLED will have a representative in China making sure the factory is not trying to screw them over. I've worked in China and seen this happen a lot, so this is one of my worries with buying on Alibaba).

Is no matter what brand you buy they ship from China, the difference between you and the middle guy is he knows the source quality of the panels they sale and you have to gamble.

a core reason not to buy a no-name panel from China is because it will have very little resale value, simply because most people won't trust it when you put it up for sale. I'd guess that you can only recuperate 25-30% of the purchase price
At least with a brand-name reputable panel, when you're ready to upgrade & sell the panel, you'll probably get back 50-70% of what you paid for it.

I don't know that their English fluency has anything to do with whether they care about your panel arriving broken or not.

I've had similar issues with companies outside of China too. So I don't think I'm being based in China as anything to do with it either.
