How To Fix The Sloppy and Loose Steering On Cub Cadet Riding Lawn Mower.

This time around I'm working on my Yard Tractor, a 2008 Cub Cadet LT1045 with a 46" 3 blade deck and a Kohler Courage 20 engine. It's an old tractor, a hand me down from a family member, but a good tractor. It has around 585 hours on it, and is always in need of some maintenance.

This is more of an instructional video, with a review in the middle, so follow me along as I replace the steering and pinion gears, and also review them. I'll be using a Bularie brand steering gear and pinion gear, part number 717-1550F. Bularie was gracious enough to supply me the parts to review, install and test. The steering gear and pinion are a great set, with the same exact fit, form, function and design as the original, and the steering has been vastly improved from the old worn out parts.
