This hit hard. I’m the oldest of three brothers and if you have any brothers (or if you don’t, any great buddies that build you up for years) you know this. When it pans to Tristan watching Andrew on stage, listen how Tristan says “..unless you have a sense of moral obligation for them”. Which makes me think that there were likely many differences, disagreements, and possibly hurtful behavior toward each other at some point. I can personally attest that over the years my brothers and I have grown closer among this chaos. There were times (months, years) that we didn’t get along well but we always worked it out. At the end of the day, only a true brother will be there in your darkest hour. My brothers and I have helped each other even in the face of death itself. As the oldest, it’s my responsibility to be the leader and role model for the younger. But when even your younger brother builds you up, that’s when you know. Like iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another. And that a brother is born for adversity? If you can have that brotherhood, you can literally take on the world. My two brothers make me feel like I can take on the world, because we’ve been to hell and back, patient despite our differences, and always having love and forgiveness for each other. And seeing Tristan look at Andrew gives me hope that one day my brothers and I make it, and they’re looking at me and talking about me like that. Have your opinions on what you want, but Tristan and Andrew might be the best example of brotherly love that I have ever seen.
