I was just getting into Azymuth's cool recordings and seeing YT live performances with the camera focusing on Mamão more often than not. Then sadly just found out today about April 17, 2023. Thank you for the sweet syncopated Brazilian Jazz Funk Beats Master Mamão! Your presence will be greatly missed. I found myself very lucky to see these guys playing in a small bar in the end of the eighties for two hundred people. What a evening that was!!! I can remember that Bertrami allready had serious health problems in those days. RIP Jose Roberto Bertrami.

I saw Azymuth live in April 1987 at the old "Concerts By The Sea" club at King Harbor in Redondo Beach, CA. Their LP "Tightrope Walker" had just come out. Amazing show. It was a late Wednesday night and maybe 80 people were there. The Brazilian singer Kenia showed up and sang a song with them toward the end of the show. They played in L.A. quite a bit at that time. Please come back!

a month ago I was delighted with Azymuth, especially the current performances, and above all Mr. Ivan Conti's drumming and now I found out that he passed away on April 17, 2023. I'm sad
