Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) has vowed to kill legislation passed in the House that would bolster election security. McConnell has also stonewalled attempts from within his own party, such as Sen. Marco Rubio’s (R-FL) DETER Act and Sen. James Langford’s (R-OK) Secure Elections Act. Intelligence officials have warned that foreign interference in U.S. elections is likely to happen again, which President Trump seemed to welcome in an ABC interview that aired Sunday.
