We thought you might like a look at this very nice 1962 Ford Thunderbird, from Country Classic Cars, in Staunton, IL. It's still powered by the original 390 FE-series V8 and it's a very solid car, all the way around. We hope you find it interesting, thanks for taking a look!

We have a 64 Thunderbird, I got some trivia for you. We live in Palm Springs, and the Thunderbird gets it's name from The Thunderbird Country Club. Ford got permission from the country club to use the same logo on the cars, as the logo from the club. The first Thunderbird was gifted to the club from Ford. In other car history, the Avanti was designed here in Palm Springs.

Very nice, my neighbor has a '63 which I did a bunch of repairs to for him. They're a bit tougher than most other older cars to work on.

Nice car! I drove a 1962 Thinderbird during my high school years in the late 1980's. In "Park" you can move the entire steering column over to the passengers side. I think to help make room for getting in & out of the car..but I'm not exactly sure the reason but it was a cool car!

Really clean t-bird, I love it! The 62 comet behind it reminded me of my dads comet. Always broken (4 engines!) And really ugly. Got junked around 1975.

Sweet sweet ride! Built when cars had a personality. not as safe and reliable as a modern day car but a great auto never the less.

I've got one of these, but it needs a new paint job. Anybody have any suggestions as to color?

Normal cars just aren’t good looking anymore unless the cost $100, 000+

The 390 and high performance aare not original. Air cleaner is wrong for 62. I could pick it apart but it is a solid car, wouldn't take much to make it look original. 18K might be a bit high, with a new dash pad and a couple of touches it would probably worth it though. It is an AC car which is nice, especially if you are in a hot area. I have a very similar 62 at home.
