I thought it was fucking fantastic and being a Muslim myself, I love how it depicted us, it didn’t show us as evil and crazy it showed that we’re humans just like everyone else and we can be sometimes misguided just like everyone else

100% agree with Grace's review!!! I loved that they showed both sides of the coin. I also liked the explanation of the french officer about immigration in America and French; a lot of types of americans vs. only two types of people living in France

As a German who is fluent in (American) English, had French in school and studied Arabic and Turkish up to a medium level I highly enjoyed listening to all those languages in the show (although there was by far not enough Turkish ;-) ).

To me, the strongest episode was number six, in which the traumatized drone pilot flies to Syria and where the multicultural showdown at the beach takes place. Heartbreaking.

After doing 13 hours this was probably a natural progression for John Krasinski who liked doing that kind of roll in that movie.

I didn't think that the plot for this series was all that surprising - it basically played out exactly how you expected at the beginning it would play out. However not surprising the story was, the depth of the characters, the almost philosophical approach to morally grey subjects, and Krasinski's vulnerable Jack Ryan completely 100% sold me on the show.

Loved this show as well. Actually surprised me. The storyline was just awesome. I do however think a lot of it's charme is also because of Krasinski itself so I do wonder how they would continue without him. But let's just hope he keeps on rocking this show for a long time. This fits perfectly with him.

Loved this show, but have to disagree with you saying this showed off nothing new for John Krasinski. I think this series gave him a chance to be seen as an action hero star. I know he did the movie about Benghazi but it wasn’t as popular and if anything this show just cemented that new aspect of his image.

What scenes had you on the edge of your seat? What did you think of the video game messaging exchange where they were impersonating Suleiman's brother? I love the scramble to get an answer and the tension in that scene. I thought they were going to fool him until the "peace be with you" line and how the brother always responds to that.
