Is Lovestruck hype dying down already?

Why aren't people as excited for Lovestruck as they have been for previous Sims 4 packs?

I really feel like the people who actually work on the pack are also tired of the awful quality but they don’t have the authority to fix anything and it really sucks :[

It's just a censored paid version of Wicked Whims. What should we expect?

I wanted the romance to also affect family gameplay, like divorces or split families. Children holding grudges on parents due to the complexities of romance.

this should have been in the base game...or if they needed the money that badly it should have been in the weddings pack

If this was a game pack I’d totally buy it. But hell no I’m not spending $50 on My First Woohoo Stuff

I just want people to remember that it is not the developers fault. The superiors at EA are destroying the franchise.

I don’t want to speak for all Latin/hsipanic people but I honestly feel like they did the bare minimum when we are know for festivals, colorful food, families, celebrations! It’s cute details but like a game pack worth at best

Two things here.
1) PC players - which most of us are - already have Wonderful Whims (or the wicked version for those so inclined) and SimDA dating app, so the new features are more like a kit's worth of content. Maybe a small stuff pack.
2) EA telling simfluencers that if they want early access, they must take a big, permanent hit to their credibility and popularity by presenting their content as a paid advertisement for EA.

There was also a scandal about EA forcing creators to accept partnered creators to accept a laughably low 100$ payment for 10 videos and present them as sponsored if they want early access to the pack.

What do I want for a new sims game? I want them to get a group of programmers together and have them play Sims 1 for a week. I mean non-stop, full out, learn everything. Then play Sims 2 for a week, then Sims 3, then sims 4. And when they are done have a big meeting and discuss what was great in each of them and what could have been improved on. And THEN make a new game that has the elements from each of them that everyone loved. That's what I want.

Lilsimsie disclosed that EA was paying Early Access players $100 w/sponsor Gallery post. I think that is also why we aren't seeing a lot of early access videos. Kayla made clear she didn't like that unordered to get Early Access, you had to accept the payment (though she found out some people were able to work around that). I think that has also killed any interest in the early videos cause viewers already watch with skepticism.

Honestly I wasnt even excited when it was first announced. Its the same thing everyone gets excited for the first week, then the bugs and glitches come kicking in and everyone is bored and angry again. Im honestly done with the sims 4 team, I dont want another a expansion pack... I want this game to actually change, we should not be relying on packs to fix a game. They are there to enhance the experience not fix it! I think its stupid people are still even considering buying sims 4 packs nowadays.

Ps. I love your videos :)

I’m tired of adults getting “hyped” for corporate garbage. Stop being unpaid brand ambassadors and evangelists for corporations that continue to rip you off blind.

For me the EA creators "getting paid" isn't bad on them. Like you said it's their job. But it does make EA look bad, because they don't usually pay them. They usually just give them early access or a free game code. But with this pack specifically they tried to force the people in the EA creator network to accept money in exchange for doing multiple videos on Lovestruck. Which just made EA look worse than they already are, because not only were they trying to pay people off but also the amount they offered was only $100. Which is both laughable in comparison to what some of the more popular simmers actually make off just doing their regular vids, AND made it so people had to say "I'm being sponsored" which makes no one believe their review is 100% honest.

EA knew that the hype would be shitty, that's why they paid the creators to try and get them to hype it up

I feel like this pack is so insignificant that everyone is just "Okey" about it. I mean this is the type of thing that was added as a bonus to Sims 3 Late Night (That also had Vampires and Apartments btw). The sims team is milking sims 4 dry because they got no ideas for how to make a good pack anymore and they know that it'll sell just fine.

I honestly don't look at what's in the pack and see a "pack" at all. I see the equivalent of the Spa Day refresh, but for the base game's existing romance system. Yeah, the additions have promise and they've bulked it out with build mode items and a world, but I really begrudge them putting a price tag on this while their abandoned refresh effort is right there.

Deligracy mentioned in her let's play that YT demonetizes videos of the pack, so that might be one of the reasons for lack of early access content.

By the way, If EA would´ve just let Sims 4 come to an end and they would´ve continued releasing a new Sims generation every 4-5 years, then currently we would have "The Sims 6"

Saw the title and immediately thought to myself. Yes.
