Omg so the eyelash one is actually so common in the drag makeup scene! It’s all about how you position the lash! Sometimes if you’re scared it’ll look droopy, use a hairdryer as soon as you put the lash on to push it upwards and fingers crossed the glue will dry while it’s in that pushed up position 👌👌👌

PS: I was using henna and a toothpick for fake freckles WAY back in high school...in 2000. It works great, and as the first ones faded the second round looked even better with the color variety.

Even when the hacks “work, ” the women end up looking so artificial, IMO. Maybe this level of makeup is good for on-camera, but I can’t imagine this would be tolerable in natural light or a normal setting. Stage makeup does not translate to real life—and let’s face it, most of us spend most of our time IRL.

Char- I want to tell you the secret to gluing on lashes. Once you put the glue on the lash strip, wait 30 seconds (so the glue gets tacky) before placing it on your lid! The white color of the glue should start fading away before placing it! 😘

The lipstick as blush thing grinds my gears soooo much. Like some of us already have acne, and lipstick is expensive!

I have tried the blush/lipstick thing once. You either cover everything with the makeup (so, why do we put lipstick underneath?) or you look like Peppa the pig 😂😂 anyway, if the idea is to look more "radiant and healthy", you can just buy a pearly rose-colored primer. Works wonders and there is much less mess and frustration 😉
