Parliament Monsoon Session begins: Ruckus witnessed from Opposition; Both houses adjourned

The monsoon session of Parliament took off to a stormy start, with the Opposition causing a ruckus and stopping Prime Minister Narendra Modi from introducing his newly-appointed Union ministers to the Parliament. Despite the Speaker's repeated calls for decorum, the disruption continued. Both houses were suspended, with the Lok Sabha currently adjourned until 3:30 p.m. and the Rajya Sabha adjourned till 3 pm. Three sessions of Parliament have been shortened since the Pandemic, with the winter session last year having to be cancelled. Today the storm outside was truly reflected inside the Parliament House.
