One Year After a Nuclear Strike on London | Hyper-Realistic Simulation

If you hear this — remember: nuclear war is not a game.

What would happen to London one year after a nuclear bomb?
This hyper-realistic post-apocalyptic simulation shows what life might look like after a single strike — when the city is gone, and only memory, science, and survival remain.

Key scenes and moments:

Initial Detonation — thousands of degrees, people evaporated, shadows on walls like Hiroshima.

Shockwave — buses and towers crushed, concrete shattered, steel bent.

Firestorm — oxygen consumed, people died not from fire, but from suffocation.

Black Rain — radioactive ash, warm and thick, poisoned everything.

Radiation Sickness — nausea, recovery… then death.

Survival Begins — hiding in basements, filtering water, solar panels, eating rats.

Science as Salvation — schoolbooks became survival guides.

Nature Returns — foxes in Piccadilly, baboons escaped the zoo, trees growing through concrete.

This is not a movie. Not a headline. Not a game.
This is what London could become. And what we still have time to prevent.

To be honest, that place looks better than London does now

In hyper-realistic reality there would be no buildings left, least of all the Elizabeth Tower (Big Ben).

2 aliens are talking in outer space, looking down on Earth.
"It seems the inhabitants of planet Earth have created nuclear technology and missiles"
says one alien "are they showing signs of intelligence?" asks the other "
I dont think so. They seem to be aiming at themselves"

Not even remotely accurate. London is one of the most targeted areas on Earth. In the event of a nuclear war, the area that used to be London would consist of a series of craters with almost entirely flat land for many miles around.

I think this clip under-estimates the devastation from blast and firestorm, even underground. Then there's radiation.

"in the tube" wouldn't save you, mate - the crater would be deep

Well said. Too many people think they are going to the watch the nuclear disaster unfold. In reality, suddenly you're in it and you are now part of that disaster film.

In event such as this, Im sure there will be no survivors and massive craters all about. The ones that died are the lucky what comes next is starvation to maddness.

Why does this video make it seem like this small pocket are the only survivors?
Entertaining the idea of this video, there are 2 blatant and fundamental flaws:
A) if they can survive then there would be various other pockets across London. These people would not be the sole survivors.
B) if this ONLY happened in London, the rest of the UK is still there, I doubt people would remain in London. Any form of emergency infrastructure remaining would evacuate whatever is remaining of the population of London, in addition to the remaining Home Counties/East/South East of England (depending on wider radiation levels and larger spread) and transporting thousands further West and North.

In the grand scheme of things, if only London were to be hit, as an overall population, there will be plenty of people left and the country will continue to run in some way or another. It wouldn’t be the end of life in the UK as it makes it out to be.

In a Nuclear exchange London would not receive one bomb, but multiple.
Taking out Parliament, data storage centres and any military assets.

Anyone from Basingstoke would feel quite at home.

Симуляция неверна! Нейросеть нарисовала белых лондонцев, но в современном Лондоне их мало где отыщешь! Большинство населения нынешнего Лондонстана–выходцы с Азии, с Африки, с Карибского бассейна 😂.

In 1984... I was twelve and I was on vacation with my family in Maine.. was blessed to have met Samantha Smith..both of us saw the day after.. and were opposed to nuclear weapons.. she was my hero... We need more like her to improve relations with Russia
