The issue should be put into a referendum as it is an existential issue and it is too important to be left to a few people who can be easily influenced to decide. There is a good reason why the EU banned this type of agriculture.

In uk we use pig and human insulin. If its true about production of insulin from ecoli then on the balance the small percentage of diabetics have no choice or they can improve on their lifestyle to avoid the disease
