To be honest I just can't get excited about another sub homage however it does look like it's very well done.

I've just got a San Martin V3 black dial version with the NH35a movement and the watch is absolutely stunning in person it looks and feels like a watch you would expect to pay a lot more for' the build quality is mesmerising & if I ever got mugged there not getting a watch that cost me a fortune..✌️🧐🇬🇧🇺🇦

More of the same - at least *_Cronos_* are mixing it up offering a no-date version now.
I do own a previous San Martin and it is lovely, and have just ordered a *_Cronos_* as I like to see and own multiple brands.
Its a shame every brand updates their models so frequently it makes it hard for you to do a comparison video.

Well I’ve have been looking at this one for a while now however I’m afraid to part with that much for a knock off/homage how ever it looks good and I understand you can even pay extra to get a more premium movement I have big hands and a large wrist I don’t know if 41 mm would suit me.42 1/2 - 43 1/2 maybe??? that’s some thing for San Martin to consider down the road mabe???not everyone has small hands and small wrists however this watch looks great.

Losing the Glidelock is a big deal. If it was a problem, fix it, and offer free replacements for the purchasers so far, don't just pretend was never there.
It's a lot to pay extra over the SN017 just for a PT5000 and longer lug to lug size.
Cronos instead?

Strange my SN019 has a glidelock style clasp and a much more tapering bracelet with a shark on the crown, which I much prefer to this version. I think that this version is a step backwards.

Got to say that the PT5000 abs great movement. Never pay extra 200$ to get the swiss movement. This one is pretty solid.

Thanks for the review. Just a note, it is said not to change the date while the hands are between 9pm and 3am and I noticed you started switching the date at 1:10. Just something to keep in mind going forward.

Makes me want to to buy it. It looks almost what I'd expect and that clasp is amazing (I got it on another SM), and this is coming from a hard-core glide lock fan.

Looks fantastic quality but I think I'd save some money and get the Cronos. Near as damn it on par, same PT movement and cheaper. Will admit it does look good though.

San Martin used to have the glidelock clasp, but have since replaced it. Some problems with it.. mine still works perfectly

I just picked up my first San Martin SN039 after your review (only one I found) ... I like the unique look of the watch. Got it in blue of course ... considered the black but i wasn't sure if it had a sunburst dial like the blue or not.

The design of the end-link on their last iteration (version 3) was just perfect. I have this version, and it is optimal, even for smaller wrists. For some reason they have changed it for the worse. The protrusion now is significantly closer to the Cronos.

Well I just ordered the San Martin during the 11/11 sale, and looking at it side by side with the Cronos I think that was the right decision. The execution is so much more refined.
