"Everyday when I came into work, all I wanted to do was leave. So why in the world does it feel so hard to leave right now?"

The Office was one of those precious few shows that you can watch over and over again. It's timeless.

"I wish there was a way to know you were in the good ol' days before you've left them."  Holy crap, the feels.

"Nobody steals from Creed Braton and gets away with it. The last person to do this, disappeared. His name, Creed Braton."

“I laughed and I cried. Not bad for a day in the life of a dog food company.”

the thing is, the office didn't just feel like a show. it felt like a lifestyle. the classic sitcom "laughs" weren't there, making it truly arbitrary, as creed would say. it didn't just feel like a show. it felt like as if each character was real. Jim's love for Pam, Dwight's infatuation with becoming manager, Michael's desperate attempt to find and be loved. These little quirks that built the characters, they exist within us ourselves. It gave us something to look for in life. That no matter how many obstacles come your way, whether it's another 364 days till pretzel day, a co-worker firing a gun in the office, or being in love with someone who doesn't see you the same way, you know that it gets better because you are going to get hitched at Niagara falls. and that's what made the office unique. being just a show, it was part of us. it was who we are. it was inside us. And that's what she said.

The weird thing is now I'm exactly where I want to be. I've got my dream job at Cornell, and I'm still just thinking about my old pals. Only now they're the ones I made here. I wish there was a way to know you're in "the good old days", before you've actually left them. Someone should write a song about that.

Favorite quote from Finale
Phyllis: I’m happy that this was all filmed so I can remember everyone and what we did. I worked for a paper company all these years and I never wrote anything down.

Favorite deep quotes from the finale

I wish there was a way to know that your in the good 'ol days before you've actually left them
-Andy Bernard

It all seems so arbritary I applied at this company because they were hiring, I took a desk at the back because it was empty. But no matter how you get there or where you end up humans have a miraculous gift to make that place home
-creed bratton

I sold paper at this company for 12 years, I told clients quantities and types of paper. Even though I didn't love every minute of it I owe everything I have to this job. This stupid, wonderful, boring, amazing job.
-Jim Halpert

I thought it was weird that you picked us as a subject for a documentary. But all in all I think an ordinary paper company like Dunder Mifflin was a great subject for a documentary. There's a lot of beauty in ordinary things, isn't that kinda the point?
-Pam Beesly Haplert

That's what she said.
-Michael Scott
