This might go down in history as one of the best play calls ever.

This kick was so perfect that there are still people convinced that it was illegal.

I don’t think there’s ever been a more perfect onside kick in football than this one 👌

This was a classic national championship. This was not Clemson playing poorly. This was Alabama playing great.

This was one of the most epic moments of Nick Sabans career. I'll never forget it.

This was easily one of the best if not the greatest calls Saban has ever made as a head coach. This was absolutely brilliant and the way the onside kick was set up and the way the kickoff timed their kick and caught the onside was set up to perfection. This is how you conduct a proper onside kick. This whole play was the momentum shift of this game. Clemson was absolutely amazing in this game as they were in 2015. This national championship gets 5 stars

this is what teams do if they want to win. seldom works but when it does, it's genius. I was impressed by the execution.

My favorite part: The commentator's initial confusion and slight stutter. Must have been thinking: Who would onsides kick in the fourth quarter of a tied national championship game?

I went to this game and have never been so pleased with the results of it. Yes, I am a Bama fan, but I guarantee that a ton of Clemson fans will say this is one of the greatest match ups of skill in a national championship ever. Both great programs, but I really do think this game came down to the coaching. Simply put, Nick Saban had more experience in games like this, and while Dabo is probably in the top 3 best coaching in the NCAA right now, he didn't have the big game experience that Saban had. Most definitely a game I will never forget

This was DEFINITELY the turning point in that game and Dabo knew it. Which is why he tried so hard to argue the call even though he knew he didn't have a chance in hell of overturning it. From the goal line stand in '79, Van Tiffin's kick in 1985, Cornelius Bennett's sack one year later against the Irish to George Teague running down Lamar Thomas for "the strip" in '92.... Griffith's perfect execution of an inside kick should go down in Bama's history of great plays in critical games!!

Saban’s devilish grin alone was worth the price of admission.

Clemson gets caught with their pants down... Great play Alabama!

New Orleans Saints did this in the Super Bowl and it helped them beat Manning and the Colts. Lightning strikes twice. That is guts. Saban is a genius man.

Alabama and Clemson were the two best teams in the country for two years in a row. They were equals in both of the games played. Classic football.

One of the ballsiest moves in football history. . . until another championship game where he benches his veteran SEC offensive player of the year QB that's taken them to 2 title games in favor of a true freshman and wins. . . until the following year when he benches him for the veteran again to win the SEC title.
