Product Sourcing:

When it comes to sourcing a product for review, I will usually either  purchase and item personally or reach out to a supplier requesting a sample for review.  Many suppliers are supportive if they are confident in their product, appreciating the value of greater exposure.

I am sometimes sent a product by a supplier which I may include if the product fits planned content and I believe will be of interest to you, my audience. The product needs to be worthy of a review and I always make it clear to the supplier that they cannot influence or be involved in the content in any way. It is not in my interest to review inferior or poor quality products and therefore as you might expect many product offers are politely declined.

Any sponsored videos (paid for reviews) are clearly stated as such so there can be no misunderstanding.

Sometimes a supplier will provide a link to the product or the supplier which I am happy to include in the description.  Sometimes I will be provided with an affiliate link so I can earn a commission on sales and this helps to support channel costs but never at the expense of an honest review. There is no cost to you and in some cases discounts can be obtained via the link or via an included code.

If a product I have reviewed is available from Amazon I will often include an Amazon link in the description.  As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. If you purchase a product or service with the links that I provide I may receive a small commission. There is no additional charge to you.

Replying to Comments:

I really appreciate the feedback in the comments - I find it a source of knowledge and inspiration - so thank you to all of you who take the time to contribute. This is not just for me as the creator, it is a valuable source of information for all readers of the comments. I have recently found that if I continue to respond to all the comments as the number of videos builds, it takes significant time away from being able to produce new content which would be very counter productive! So my aim is to read everything I can and reply when I can, after each video goes live for the first few hours at least, and beyond that when possible. I'll see how that works out 😊

Please consider subscribing and being notified to keep up to date with new video releases.

Thank you for supporting the channel.

I am a fan of smaller lights than most of those shown here. I especially don’t like the big headed lights. I like the idea of a light that doesn’t bulge out in the pocket and also doesn’t hurt your leg if you are laying down with it in your pocket, like if you were working under a car or under a sink.

Why doesn't the Nitecore EDC33 offer lower modes for the floodlight? Wasted opportunity.
However, it's great to finally see a single-reflector, multi-emitter light for multiple beam profiles. I've been waiting for that for many years.

I have, amongst many others, a Wuben L1. Very useful, versatile and surprisingly powerful. A great deal.

Welcome back Sir 😊 Hope you had a great trip!

About the EDC33:
I don’t really get most of the criticism about non replaceable batteries.
By the time the battery will start malfunctioning, this flashlight will be completely outdated. You’d buy a new one before any issues occur.

It’s only a problem for tactical use, where you’d want a second fully charged battery as a backup. But that’s not a tactical light, it has EDC in its name.

Rey does great work with ReyLight. He works to make sure product support is top notch. Love his lights. I keep the Wuben L1 in my car as my emergency light and even charge a phone when needed. Magnetic base is useful too.

Been EDCing an olight for a long time. I am liking some of these offers by other companies. That EDC33 is SO CLOSE! I am not huge on the non-removable battery and Id have to replace the clip with an olight, or theMH12, clip (i pocket carry and that loopback on the clip is constantly seeing use as an external hook for keys or temporary clip point). The lack of moonlight mode is rough, but not a dealbreaker. The one big thing that could pull me away from my Warrior3 is the more and more common reverse charging on the huge battery ones. I dont need to carry a powerbank, but having a flashlight with a very large cell in it that can be used for emergency power is something I have wished I had on a couple occasions.

The programmable one is interesting, but at that point I would just carry something with Anduril2. It is far more complex, but once you have every minute detail configured to perfection, you never have to mess with it and the interface is about as simple as an olight.

lastly...I dont know why it is a thing, but "brightness level" indicators are VERY strange to me. I know when the light is the brightness I need to use at that moment...I cant imagine needing to know if it is level2 or level3 at a glance when I can look forward and go "yup, I can see what I need to see" and if I ever have to have it at max brightness, I just cycle to it and if I pass it, just do it again. Even less important when the light has a direct-to-turbo, like it should. Maybe I am a stickler for simplicity and trimming the fat, despite my love of more and multiple functions.

Great vid as always!

yeeeaaaahhh not gonna lie I wrote off the nitecore when you said non-replaceable battery, but still watched lol. a flashlight with a non-replaceable battery, no matter how good or rechargeable it is, is like a non-sharpenable knife

That bezel on the Manker mini is a real eyeball remover. Blind them with the strobe. Then take a trophy.

The Wuben looks like a very useful EDC light! Ill consider it in the future, right now im waiting for a DreamBlue and Golden Warrior3S to arrive!
The similar Fenix also looks very nice, i wanted to buy it this week then by chance i saw that gorgeous looking Warrior3S! In December i bought another nice looking White Seeker4Pro.

I have the Olight Baton 4. For the size and price ($64), it has amazing performance.
I also have the larger Olight Seeker 4 ($93 at Amazon), and that is also a beast. Olight has a lifetime warranty too.

All nice lights. But there wasn't one that made me think of replacing my Sofirn IF23. It's currently on Amazon for £52 with a 25% off voucher. 21700 powered and more bells and whistles than almost any light I owned prior. It's a really tough light to beat for value and performance :) Thanks for the Vid Jon. As always well made :)
