Mad Max: Fury Road - Black and Chrome Trailer - in UK cinemas on April 30, for one day only.

Directed by George Miller and starring Tom Hardy, Charlize Theron, Nicholas Hoult, Zoe Kravitz, Riley Keough, Hugh Keays-Byrne and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.

From Oscar-winning director George Miller, originator of the post-apocalyptic genre and mastermind behind the legendary “Mad Max” franchise, comes “Mad Max: Fury Road,” a return to the world of the Road Warrior, Max Rockatansky.

Haunted by his turbulent past, Mad Max believes the best way to survive is to wander alone. Nevertheless, he becomes swept up with a group fleeing across the Wasteland in a War Rig driven by an elite Imperator, Furiosa. They are escaping a Citadel tyrannized by the Immortan Joe, from whom something irreplaceable has been taken. Enraged, the Warlord marshals all his gangs and pursues the rebels ruthlessly in the high-octane Road War that follows.

Miller directed from a screenplay he wrote with Brendan McCarthy and Nico Lathouris. Miller also produces, along with Doug Mitchell and P.J. Voeten. Iain Smith, Graham Burke and Bruce Berman serve as executive producers.

For those who are scratching their heads, this was George Miler's (director) original vision for the film. To make it black and white, and it still looks freaking gorgeous.

WITNESS ME!!

I'm really surprised that so many people think, this is just the regular version with zero saturation. They actually put a lot of effort into the Black & Chrome conversion to really make use of the medium. The typical problem with modern B&W films compared to classic ones is that the blacks are never truly black and the whites are not bright enough resulting in an images that looks more or less just grey. Here the conversion looks very nice and crisp with bright whites and rich, dark blacks. I'm really looking forward to it!

Black and chrome version is pure art. Perfection. It's way more deeper emotionally, way more tense, surreal.
I can understand completely why George Miller wanted it in black and chrome originally.
Rawnness and subtleness at the same time perfectly balanced. Just breathtaking.

Not going to lie, any excuse to see this film in cinema will do . They could have made the film 3 seconds longer and i'd still watch it until they stopped showing it in cinema

I just saw this yesterday in cinema and actually much preferred it to the coloured version. The coloured version is so saturated that it makes it look less real and far too busy with the amount of detail on the screen. Somehow, the black and white version feels like it's possible and you forget that it's black and white within seconds of the film starting.

I think I prefer the coloured version but an interesting look

Honestly think it looks better with the color, the orangish tone really set the movie visually apart, but black and white wouldve been extremely unique in theaters

There is extra narration from Max in the beginning, and a few extra seconds/dialogue!

Personally I think I like the Black and Chrome edition a lot better. With everything black and white it makes the world feel more broken. Like the sun just died out one day.
