It actually pained me that they thought Alice and Jasper had abandoned them. I know Bella knew that wasn't the whole truth due to the note only she knew of but the note only really told her what to do and not if they'd be back or what they went to do. I know they thought they had their reasons to leave but considering they are a family and 2 of them suddenly leaving without even a goodbye is very sad.
