I am a paramedic and a 911 dispatcher. I received a text message from a Hiker with an iPhone. Their fellow hiker had fallen and broken their ankle. The iPhone sent us their location. I was able to respond to their messages and direct emergency crews to them. I was also able to keep reassuring them help was on the way.

As someone who works in remote wilderness locations this is a great feature to have. Thankfully I have not had to use the feature on my 14pro max yet and pray I never have to.

The orange arrow turning green in Dynamic Island is so cool...those little details are one of the many reasons why Apple's UI & UX is so amazing and far ahead of everyone else in the industry!

It's hard for people who never venture outside of a cell signal to realize how important this can be. Like the dispatcher below who was able to help rescuers get to an injured hiker -- I used to have a commute that was 50% outside of cell service range, and I always had to hope I never had an emergency. Your demo was really great, I have a much better idea of how it actually works now.

This is absolutely game changing. I live in Texas and I love exploring barbecue places that are far away from me, most of which don’t have signal. The problem is I don’t drive, and I never know when I’ll be through. Being able to text someone to come pick me up would be amazing, all I need. Is that literal one text, but I’ve never been able to do it before. Now I can do it via satellite.
