⚠️ #CathieWood - the CEO, CIO, and Founder of #ARKInvest - has clearly identified a set of investments she thinks are bad ideas and is warning several industries that they will face a deflationary crash. To no one's surprise, Tesla (TSLA), which is @ARKInvest2015's biggest holding, stands to benefit greatly from these coming changes, which is why it's still one of the best stocks to buy now. Even #MichaelBurry has closed his short position, which is not only big Tesla news but big news for this entire sector in general. You've been warned!

What do you think? Can the legacy auto industry survive? When will your next auto purchase be and what kind of car will it be?

The inherent problem of all bubbles, is knee jerk reaction. Fueled by fear, panic overcomes reason and herd response becomes self fulfilling prophecy. Thank you for your perspective. It’s clear headed

Would like to see you address power grid capacity as related to mass adoption of EV’s.
-How will the grid system handle the increase in load?
-Effects of week long power outages?
-Realistic time frame to build up the charging network in the country side?

I make several 500+ mile camping and road trips a year to remote locations where charging stations can’t be found. Even gas stations can often be scattered and remote. I’m concerned that the cart has gotten ahead of the horse here with EV adoption without a reliable infrastructure (outside of urban areas) to support it.

I’m also concerned that Cathy’s view on EV’s is somewhat skewed by her office-work North East life style. Some of what she says doesn’t align with what I see here in Texas.

Agree! As a Tesla owner for the last three years I have spent $0.00 in maintenance because it hasn't needed any and less than half of what I used to spend in gas. In addition, I have figured out how to charge my car with solar power and so I have no expenses other than registration and insurance.

I own a Tesla SINCE 2018 and cannot stop talking about it like so many owners. And recently we order another Tesla, trading in our BMW. Thanks for your educational videos.

Has anyone done polling for see how many people there are like us who have purchased their last ICE vehicle?

I'm driving a Mercedes C class year 2003. It's still like new. And my total cost of ownership are pretty low. Depreciation is almost zero. And I don't drive a lot. I'll be driving this for another 5-10 years I think. So, I am not spending money on cars, I much prefer piling up Tesla stock.

I'm a senior. Always loved my ICE vehicles (for a number of reasons). A while ago I couldn't imagine getting an electric vehicle. Recently, I've been considering replacing my ICE car....but I am hesitant to buy another ICE vehicle. I'm thinking of getting a quote to install electric car charging in my garage. NEVER thought I would think that way. Hmmmm.
TESLA however isn't the only choice and soon all the other car makers will have an array of attractive choices. 🇨🇦

I'm fixing my old half-dead car for as long as I can until EVs are cheap and service stations and Insurance has reasonable pricing in my country..

Assuming the consumers have stocked up on goods, why are many shelves in the shops empty? What's with the massive number of ships halted at the ports?

She has an excellent point. I still drive a 2000 Honda CRV and plan to as long as I can, but I know my next car will be an EV. The big question for me is which of the legacy auto companies can pivot to all electric and also improve the efficiency of their business model to potentially handle a slower level of sales in the future due to a lack of churn in inventory.

I think the Fed is making a big mistake if they taper and raise interest rates. Everything is going to slow down here soon and if they discourage spending we could actually see a recession and they will have to lower them back down to zero and pump money back into the economy. They need to taper very very gradually and don't even touch interest rates yet.

The other benefit electricity has over gas is a convenience factor of charging at home.

Alex, it's apparent that you put a shit ton of work into your videos. I appreciate it greatly. Thanks!

Some great points raised which are food for thought! As main stream media and financial media (CNBS, etc) would have you thinking otherwise and peddle their own biased propaganda! Good work Alex!

Added solar, Powerwall, and two Teslas. Sold three ICE cars and will never go back to ICE. The Teslas are AWESOME! Oh, and if include the EV recharging via solar, the ROI reduces to an astonishing 3 - 3.5 yrs. It's a no brainer. Thanks for all the great info, Alex!

What does Burry mean when he says his Tesla position was "asymmetrical"?

Cathie was spot on in my situation. I bought my first car EVER that I didn't NEED IN June....a model S Plaid. Bottom line...I wanted it and could afford it. But to her point, now my garage has more inventory than necessary, bc I had a "want" that I could fill, AND bc I have decided that I will never again buy an ICE vehicle. Cathie nailed it.
