Honestly, I got the same impression from how you framed your impression of the questioning, as well. I am glad that Howard Stern clarified that, because this election is far too important for people to hear speculations about questions coming from Biden's handlers, instead of the interviewer's.

Actually, making airlines reimburse fares for cancelled flights is really GOOD and it's high time it happened! I am so thrilled that Biden has been doing things like this - there's a whole list of things I never expected him to do, like cancelling student debt and promoting EVs and solar power!
