Mark Harmon has done so many things. I loved him in Summer School but was really influenced by his role in a complete different genre when he played Ted Bundy in The Deliberate Stranger. Gotta say I love me some NCIS too.

How can you go wrong when you start with Summer School. Wonderful movie. I didn't know anything else about the wonderful thing Mark Harmon did. Thank you.

I have always had much respect and a special place in my heart for Mark Harmon. And I’m gettin’ close to seventy years old, so that’s a long time. I knew him well before St Elsewhere, which I loved. I wasn’t a bit surprised by his heroic rescue and no, I don’t think he did it (nor was able to) because of his role in NCIS; he’s an *actor*! Practically every major actor has played heroic. Pam Dawber I’ve followed since Mork & Mindy. Thanks for posting this!

Remember him guest starring on a few "Moonlighting" episodes, particularly the one featuring Tex Cobb.

His father won the he Heisman Trophy and his mother was an actress so he already had a good start. Love his down to earth attitude.

Your videos are fantastic. You put so much time and effort into the research for the video, and provide some really good trivia to boot.
If you ever get stuck for a video idea you can always make one about the evolution of shoulder pads in women's clothing in the 1980s. *:)*
I only thought of that because of the pictures you showed in this video. I remember as the 80s progressed the shoulder pad grew. Remember some of the outfits Markie Post would wear on Night Court. *:-)*

Mark Harmon has always been a great actor I've never seen "Summer School". So I'll need to check out that one later. I remember the series "240 Robert " he had problems with the crazy girl that flew the chopper. She was a handful always making fun of him. He's appeared on many movies especially one about a desert warrior called Touareg from the Berber Tribes. He was a wanted man and elusive through out the desert the way Osama bin Laden was . That was a great movie and was trying to protect his people and other desert tribes. He's always been one of my favorite actors and thanks for sharing.

Oh lawdie!! How I love this man, let me count the smacks against the heads he smacked plus showing his fine self on small & silverscreen! How I wished that he could have been my summer school teacher. He is all that & a couple of smacks. Thank you, Dave! Most of the your 'videos' have been VERY ENJOYABLE & KNOWLEDGEABLE! 🎬🎥

I remember St Elsewhere, It was the earliest show I remember first seeing Harmon, Howie Mandell,
Densell Washington, Ed Begly Jr, among others, I was actually addicted to that show being that I was working as a hospital volunteer at the time.
One bit I’ll always remember is the episode where Harmon’s character got aids and I believe he may have been written out the show after that,
It ended with a heartbreaking scene of him looking at himself in a mirror at his scarred face, (the woman he had gotten aids from had also slashed his face with a razor in that episode.)
It really was a haunting scene and episode that really should have gotten him an Emmy at the time.
Anyways thanks for the memories.

I saw Summer School in the theater when it was released in the '80s. A very funny, enjoyable flick at the time for me. Harmon had it all, even married a big TV crush. Some have charmed lives. I say this in admiration, not envy. I can appreciate the success of others.

One thing you did not mention- the photo from People magazine cover sexiest man alive was actually from a movie called Prince of Bel Air. It was a TV movie and also had Kirstie Alley as his co star, as well as a couple of the kids later from Summer School in it. Harmon played a womanizing pool cleaner. He even sort of permed the top of his hair to make it a little wavy. That movie was very popular. Your channel is fantastic- keep up the great work.
