Love the original. Love this one for whole new reasons and entirely different moods.
I listened to it looped for half an hour, volume way up, bass boosted, and it just helped me solve a a huge dilema and mystery in a character backstory that I've wondered about for years in my writing.

To the people saying "don't fix what's not broken". The original still exists. This is something else. Just enjoy it or stick to your favorite. Some of us like variety and new perspectives on familiar things we love and enjoy. Don't try to stifle the artistic experimentation. It isn't your piece of art to control.

Color me crazy but I believe that "Upstairs at Eric's" is absolutely one of the greatest recordings of all time. Pure & Absolute Genius! Nothing compares to it ~ It stands alone in its time period because of her incredibly soulful & emotional voice coupled with that cold electronic background . . . "I before E" With all of the ease with which technology now provides us NOBODY ~ NOBODY can match this! What a brilliant combination of amazing talent. I will listen to it as long as I live ~ I believe that "Winter Kills" would have been a FAR, FAR better choice for her here with an orchestra (just my opinion) Thank You Yazoo <3
