This is a prime example of an album by a black artist from the '60s featuring white people on the cover because sales, especially in the South, would suffer if a black person was on the cover. I also remember The Isley Brothers' album, 'This Old Heart of Mine' featured a white couple on a beach. Often, the skin of black artists was lightened so that they might pass for white.
