On Friday, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortex (D-New York) joined patients affected by rising drug prices to testify before the House Oversight Committee.

"Price gouging is killing people," one patient said.

The House Oversight & Reform Committee held a hearing on prescription drug prices and the impact on patients. Four patients and one advocate for driving down drug prices told the committee about their experiences with high and rising prescription drug prices, including one diabetic who was forced to split her expensive insulin with an uninsured sister at one point, and to eat less at another.

Antivenom for snake bites costs $18000 a dose in US, while same costs just a dollar in India., this is outrageous.

AOC could propose a law allowing Americans to order drugs directly from legitimate pharmacies in other countries like Canada or from Europe.

This is the AOC Fox News doesn't want you to see. They love to show her moments that could be spun as divisive, but when she's doing shit like this, it's hard to be contrarian.

Maybe! If we could get a politician to actually allow insurance companies to cross state lines we would see competition between companies lowering health costs across the board. The only reason the drugs are cheaper in other countries are cause they are subsidized by the governments of these countries being referred to. Now if you take the same countries with their subsided medicine and need major surgery guess what!?!?! You're on a waiting list to see a doctor that has no malpractice insurance and can't be sued if you die or end up retarded. Think about that. Now ask yourself why all these people from other countries come to America to have the surgeries they no thank you communism
